Ernie Lim
Director/Principal Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP)®
Graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, Ernie has close to 20 years of practicing experience as physiotherapist in both Australia and Singapore. Accreditated by Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE, USA), he is also a certified Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP)®.
His interests lie in Occupational and Sports (Musculoskeletal) Physiotherapy, with his clinical practice mainly focused on various musculoskeletal health issues such as cervicogenic (tension headache), shoulder impingement, back pain etc. With a strongly belief that healthcare must be holistic, and the body-mind (psycho-soma) connection is of paramount importance, Ernie is committed to promoting patient-centered care. Besides treating clients from various corporations spanning from IT, Finance, Law firms as well as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries, he is also an industry presenter in Health & Benefits with organisations such as Mercer-Marsh McMillian Group.
Together with his colleagues, they have been involved with Cirque Du Soleil's high performance artists including their acts in Totem (2015), Kooza (2017) and Kurios (2019). In addition, he was appointed as Lieutenant Physiotherapist while serving in the Medical Corps of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). In 2019, he was appointed as the Chief Physiotherapist for Singapore's Underwater Hockey team in the Olympic-sanctioned, Southeast Asia (SEA) Games in Philippines. Ernie was also nominated as Outstanding Physiotherapist under the Private Practitioner Category in Physiotherapy Awards 2021 by Singapore Physiotherapy Association (SPA).
Ena Ng
Senior Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
DMA Pilates Instructor, Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP)®
Being an Australia-trained Physiotherapist who graduated from The University of Notre Dame, Western Australia, Ena has more than 10 years of experience working in both the private and public hospitals in Singapore as well as Australia. Rehabilitation, Injury Prevention as well as correct Sports Biomechanics are of utmost importance to Ena. With the use of her expertise in Dry needling and DMA Pilates, Ena advocates strongly on soft tissue flexibility in conjunction with strengthening for stability to assist her clients in recovering from their aches and pains. Her clinical interests include Sports, Orthopaedic, Neurology and Women's Health Physiotherapy.
Being an avid Underwater Hockey (UWH) and Underwater Rugby (UWR) player, she had represented Singapore and Australia respectively. With her in depth knowledge of the sport, Ena was appointed as the Team Physiotherapist for the Australia Men's and Women's Team at the 2019 UWR World Championships. Most recently, she participated in the Philippines 2019 Southeast Asia (SEA) Games for her sport, Underwater Hockey and clinched 2 Gold medals for Singapore.
Susanna Tan (International Locum)
Senior Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Though a Singaporean, Susanna graduated from Curtin University and currently lives in Perth, Western Australia where she established a private clinic of her own. Being a dual registered physiotherapist qualified to practice in Australia and Singapore, she is our international locum and does locum cover for Ernie and Ena whilst they are away.
With more than 10 years of practicing experience, Susanna's clinical interest lies in spinal pain and rehabilitation of spinal conditions. She is also a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor with years of experience teaching individual and group classes on all apparatus. She often combines the use of Manual Therapy, Pilates, Personal Training and Exercise Rehabilitation, alongside Dry Needling and Real-Time Ultrasound, to effectively treat her patients. Susanna has also undertaken post-grad studies in Women’s Heath and is passionate about finding solutions and restoring confidence in women.
Often described as a bubbly and caring person, Susanna is passionate about getting patients back to their feet with effective treatments rather than a short-term fix. She is known to care about her patients and motivates them to reach for more to lead a better quality of life.
P Y Kwan (Available only on Saturdays)
Remedial Massage Therapist/Exercise Rehab Specialist
As a UK-certified sports deep tissue remedial massage therapist, Personal Fitness Trainer and Senior Fitness Specialist certified by ACE (USA), Exercise-is-Medicine Trainer certified by ACSM (USA) and Australia-certified Express Rehab Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach, Kwan is also a qualified yoga, pilates and aqua rehab trainer.
With a background of outdoor sports including canoeing, hiking, cycling and dragon boating, Kwan has over 20 years of experience in fitness and gyms. His clinical specialisation lies in the seniors, people with injuries, medical conditions, persons with disabilities, as well as youths and athletes. Taking a holistic approach towards musculoskeletal rehab and recovery, Kwan utilises a range of techniques such as manual therapy, PNF, joint mobilisation and Thai/Chinese acupressure massage therapy in addition to gym/weights/mat/reformer-based exercises.
Having worked in UK, China, Hong Kong in his early years, Kwan is fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese.
